Has this ever happened to you; you are out with friends and everyone gets up to dance, everyone except you that is. You watch as they seem to be having the time of their lives, while you are sitting at the table all alone.
What is holding you back? For some it is shyness. These individuals simply do not want to be the focus of attention. But if you look closer at that, it could be that they do not have any confidence in their skills when it comes to dancing. We have all heard, Dance like no one is watching, but few of us actually do that. We are concerned with making the proper moves, which of course, requires a certain degree of coordination.
What options do these people have; the people that are too shy to learn as they go so to speak. They can either spend the rest of their lives wishing they could dance, or they can learn how. The obvious way to do that is dancing lessons; private dancing lessons. But the cost of private dancing lessons is huge. It is out of the question for most of us.
The sad thing is that learning to dance can help boost the confidence and self-esteem of a person. It is a great way to overcome shyness. Besides that, dancing increases the opportunities for an active social life. It opens lots of doors to new places to go and people to meet.
Besides all of that, dancing is a great way to stay in shape. It helps to burn calories and keep one fit and tone. It can replace grueling exercise routines with the fun of dancing. If your partner joins in the bond between the two of you can be strengthened. After all, learning and playing together is a great way to keep in touch on a real level.
